CDA publishes two specialty cable and wire guides

October 31, 2014 | By Alyssa Dalton

October 31, 2014 – In an effort to provide the industry with comprehensive copper building information, the Copper Development Association (CDA) says it has released two free publications on its website: Recommended Practices for Designing and Installing Copper Building Wire Systems and Specialty Cables.

Recommended Practices for Designing and Installing Copper Building Wire Systems outlines design and installation practices for copper conductors, and covers different aspects involved in the installation and maintenance of copper building wire permanently installed in building wiring systems for various applications. The Specialty Cables document looks at the benefits of using specialty cables when standard cables do not meet the requirements of special applications. It aims to help professionals understand which facilities and applications require such cables and which options should be used.
