April 25, 2014 – North American wholesale marketing group Affiliated Distributors (AD) reports Ed Crawford has accepted the position of president US electrical & international development, effective May 5, 2014.

“In my previous roles, independent distribution has always been the cornerstone of our business strategy and growth,” said Crawford. “I look forward to leveraging this experience at Affiliated Distributors, where top manufacturers and premier local distribution come together to consistently outperform the market.”

Crawford comes to AD from Philips Lighting North America, where he held the position of senior vice-president and general manager of Professional Lighting, and was formerly president and CEO Philips Light Sources and Electronics North America, where he was responsible for all Philips lamp and ballast activities in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

AD counts Crawford among the leading experts on sustainable lighting solutions, noting he has been a featured speaker at many industry forums, including an Electro-Federation Canada conference on sustainability.

“In addition to running our U.S. electrical operations, Ed will be responsible for electrical business development in new markets around the globe,” said Bill Weisberg, AD chair and CEO.
