September 12, 2012 – Nexans’ Energy Cable division in North America and Dow Electrical & Telecommunications (Dow E&T) have achieved CSA International certification for power cables manufactured by Nexans using the latter’s advanced performance TR-XLPE, Dow Endurance HFDC-4202. The certification covers four separate cable insulation systems for medium-voltage power distribution cables rated for 15kV to 46kV with an operating temperature range of 90ºC to -40ºC. Cables manufactured with Dow Endurance HFDC-4202 will further reinforce the proven track record of TR-XLPE materials for long-life, reliable medium-voltage cables, say the partners.
