March 30, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur
March 30, 2015 – CSA Group president and CEO, Ash Sahi, recently announced that his previously acknowledged retirement will become effective on March 31, 2015 and an Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) will be created to provide interim leadership, as the global search for a successor continues.
The OCE is made up of the chief operating officer, chief financial officer, executive vice-president of human resources, executive vice-president of government relations with general counsel and corporate secretary; and the executive director and vice-president of standards.
Jimmy LaValley, a director of the board, will be retained by CSA Group to act as a facilitator to the OCE.
“CSA Group’s board of directors is grateful to Ash for his many significant contributions to the organization during his tenure and we wish him much happiness in his retirement,” said Dr. Roland Hosein, chair of the board. “There’s no doubt that CSA Group is well positioned for continued growth and success and the entire board of directors has full confidence in the existing senior leadership team and all CSA Group employees.”
CSA Group is an independent, not-for-profit membership association “dedicated to safety, social good and sustainability.”
