January 16, 2013 – Denis Lavoie has joined LED Roadway Lighting Ltd. as director of business development for Canada, Mexico and Central America.

Formerly of Philips Lumec and Philips Roadway Lighting, Lavoie possesses over 22 years of experience in the sales and marketing of lighting products. He graduated from l’École Polytechnique de Montréal as an Industrial Engineer in 1990, and has been an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) since 1991. He also received two IES Presidential Awards for his work on TM-15 Luminaire Classification System for Outdoor Luminaires and the MLO (Model Lighting Ordinance). He also served as IES president for the 2011-2012 term.
