December 9, 2011 – Philips Lighting Canada has appointed Denis Lavoie to the position of senior director sales, where he will oversee the commercial sales activities for the Professional Luminaires organization in the region including Canlyte, Daybrite, Ledalite and Lumec.

Lavoie has been with the Philips Lumec organization for more than two decades, and was most recently the commercial general manager, Philips Lumec & Philips Roadway Lighting.

As a 21-year veteran of the lighting industry, the organization describes Lavoie has having the “experience, leadership, understanding of the market and customer relationships to further expand Philips Lighting’s leadership position as a premier lighting solution provider in Canada.”

“Mr. Lavoie and his team of seasoned lighting solutions experts will continue to go to market via their existing sales organizations in order to maintain the unique and distinct partnerships that set Philips apart in the Canadian Lighting market,” it added.
