Starting spring 2020, DeWalt is expanding its Xtreme Subcompact Series tools, now a line of six compact 12V Max tools, with the Xtreme Subcompact Series 12V Max Brushless One-Handed Reciprocating Saw. This tool is optimized for one-handed use across a wide range of applications, such as cutting PVC, metal pipe, wood, conduit and EMT.

The compact saw weighs 3.04 pounds (bare tool) and is 12.12 inches in length. It features an efficient brushless motor that delivers up to 2,800 SPM. That is combined with a 5/8-inch stroke length that offers fast and efficient cutting. The saw includes an LED light, a variable-speed trigger and a tool-free blade release for quick and easy blade changes.

The product will come with one 3.0Ah lithium ion battery for $229 MSRP (DCS312G1) or bare tool, without a battery or charger, for $169 MSRP (DCS312B). Each tool comes with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract, and a 90-day money back guarantee.

DeWalt’s Subcompact Series tools are designed for electrical, drywall, remodeling, automotive, metalworking, woodworking and masonry applications.
