Dewalt launches DCS387 20V Max compact recip saw
November 26, 2014 By Anthony Capkun
November 26, 2014 – Dewalt’s 20V Max lithium-ion reciprocating saw (DCS387) is designed to help you cut through a variety of materials, and while working overhead and in tight spaces.
“At 2.5-in. shorter than our DCS380 […] the DCS387 not only allows the user to get into tighter areas, it also provides more control than the DCS380,” said Dave Veprek. Dewalt’s keyless 4-position blade clamp gives you the ability to orient the tool according to the type of cut you are making. At 14.5-in. and weighing 5 lb, the 0-2900 SPM recip saw includes a variable-speed switch and an LED light to illuminate the work area. A fixed pivoting shoe provides leverage for different applications. The DCS387 is available solo ($159) or kitted ($289). The kitted version comes with a bag and DCB205 5.0Ah battery and charger.
