April 2, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

April 2, 2015 – Dewalt introduced its new 20V max cordless jobsite LED spotlight—model DCL043—earlier this year. It offers three LED lights and one red LED light to illuminates dark jobsite work areas.

“Through our research, we learned that professionals need a portable, bright, long distance, cool running lighting solution,” said Tracy Moran, Dewalt’s product manager. “The durable LED spotlight was designed to offers great lighting options both on and off the jobsite. It is lightweight and portable, offers bright long-distance lighting, as well as runs at cool temperatures.”

Commercial uses include working in dark areas for site inspections and searching for leaks in roofs and ceilings. The spotlight is IP54 rated with a water and dust resistance seal to help protect it from water or weather damage for protection on the jobsite as well as for outdoor recreational use. The LEDs are encased in an over-molded, non-marking lens cover that provides protection.

It features two lumen settings. On the1,000 light output setting, the spotlight provides maximum brightness for up to  508 yards or 1,525 ft. The 90 lumens red light setting preserves battery life even longer as well as preserving night vision when using the spotlight outside or in dark buildings.
