Diablo Steel Demon blades ready to take on metal

May 5, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

May 5, 2015 – Equipment can wear out fast when it comes to cutting metal. Diablo Tools says it has something to help.

The new Diablo Steel Demon carbide-tipped, reciprocating blades are designed for “extreme” cutting of high strength alloys, cast iron, black iron and stainless steel.

Diablo said the blade delivers a cutting life that is “20 times longer than standard bi-metal blades in metal cutting applications between 3/16-in. and ½-in.”.

Features include a 1-in. oversized blade body and Perma-Shield non-stick coating.  Also, the carbide tips are attached to the blade with a bonding process that provides impact resistance, Diablo said.

The blades are available in 4, 6 and 9-in. lengths, with prices ranging from $8.99 to $17.99 depending on the model. They are available at Home Depot, Home Hardware, Federated Co-op and most professional and independent dealers across Canada.
