July 31, 2013 – DuPont China Holding Co. Ltd. (DuPont) and GD Solar Co. Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement focused on collaboration to improve the power output, quality and reliability of solar energy systems.

“DuPont and GD Solar share a common goal and commitment to help the solar energy industry provide a long-term, sustainable and positive energy source to meet the needs of the growing global population,” said Walt Cheng, managing director, DuPont Electronics & Communications, Greater China.

DuPont will collaborate with GD Solar on R&D of materials applied to GD Solar panels and systems. The companies also will conduct field research on panel reliability and failure modes to learn more about materials’ impact on the daily operation of solar systems.
