August 18, 2020 – Intended as a tablet for field service workers, the R11 is 0.79-in. thick and weighs 2.65 lb, making it the world’s most compact tablet in the fully-rugged class, says Durabook.
The R11 offers the latest Intel 8th Gen CPUs with turbo boost speeds up to 4.2 GHz, plus Intel UHD Graphics 620. An optional office or vehicle-light docking station with dual RF pass-through extend the R11’s field capabilities.
Resilient to accidental drops, the R11 is MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F certified, as well as ANSI 12.12.01 C1D2 certified. It’s also IP65 rated, assuring shock, 4-ft drop and vibration protection, as well as the ability to withstand use in a range of temperatures. The high-capacity battery lasts up to 16 hours per charge.
The R11 also promises great visibility in direct sunlight, and its multi-touch panel is glove-friendly. Additionally, Durabook says the unit is easy to clean and disinfect.
