Southwire takes to the racetrack... with Formula E

Southwire will be the Official Wire and Cable Provider of the 2022/2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season. Formula E is the world’s only all-electric FIA World Championship and, Southwire reports, the only sport certified net-zero carbon since its inception. “We’re excited to work with Formula E and look forward to the opportunities this will bring as electrification plays an even greater role,” said Rich Stinson, Southwire president & CEO.

Manitoba labour and trades concerned about apprentice wages

The Manitoba Federation of Labour and Manitoba Building Trades have launched a campaign to protect apprentice wages in the province. “Manitoba is in the middle of a skilled labour shortage, and our government should be doing everything it can to attract and retain skilled workers,” reads the campaign. “But Heather Stefanson’s government is doing the exact opposite by considering slashing wages for apprentices in Manitoba.”
