November 24, 2015 – While it officially happened on October 30, 2015, Eaton Corp. is now providing additional details on its acquisition of Ephesus Lighting, a Syracuse, N.Y.-based manufacturer of connected LED lighting solutions for sporting venues and high-lumen outdoor and industrial applications.
“The Ephesus product portfolio is entirely complementary to Eaton’s connected lighting business and will add immediate category depth,” said Kraig Kasler, president, Eaton’s Lighting Division. “Ephesus shares Eaton’s vision of the physical and functional convergence of light sources and controls with embedded intelligence and communication.”
Eaton will continue using the Ephesus Lighting product line for the marketing of connected LED sports lighting products as part of Eaton’s broader lighting portfolio. Founded in 2010, Ephesus employs about 30 people and will continue to operate out of Syracuse.
