February 4, 2015 – A new dual purpose arc fault/ground fault (AF/GF) circuit breaker for contractors, engineers and home owners working on new construction and renovation projects has been announced by Eaton.

By combining AFCI and GFCI, Eaton said it enables a lower installed cost compared to code-approved alternatives that require multiple devices.

The device also features an integrated light-emitting diode (LED) indicator that identifies seven different causes of trips to reduce troubleshooting time, the company noted.

Eaton said the circuit breaker has been approved for use in Canada as well.
