February 12, 2015 – A new automatic transfer switch, the EGSX, and standby, air-cooled generator are now available from Eaton.

Eaton said the new EGENX series generator offers customers “improved power outage protection and engine efficiency with an electronic governor and a convenient built-in battery trickle charger.”

Additionally, with the EGSX automatic transfer switch, EGENX generators are protected from overload and provide a reliable solution for a fully automated and reliable backup power system, said Eaton.

EGENX also boasts an overhead valve industrial (OHVI) engine type, a skewed stator and a USB port interface for programming updates, the company added.
