November 19, 2012 – Eaton has introduced the XC controllers with Controller Development Software (CoDeSys), boasting fast, cost-efficient control for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC); renewables; and global food packaging applications. According to Eaton, the modular XC programmable logic controllers (PLCs) help reduce costs and are scalable to meet individual and evolving automation system requirements for small and medium-sized systems. Providing customizable control, XC controllers are expandable with high-speed input/output (I/O) modules. Up to 15 XIOC local expansion modules can be connected directly to each controller and are available in a variety of high-density channels, analog, temperature, counter, and communication modules. Additionally, XC controllers have eight digital inputs and six digital outputs as standard.
