Eaton introduces 5PX UPS

Eaton says it is introducing an industry first–an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that allows for energy metering down to the outlet segment level. “To date, energy metering has not been done at this micro-level. Plus it provides 28% more wattage than a traditional UPS, allowing IT managers to protect more devices,” it says. The 5PX supports virtualization strategies through Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software Suite, a software solution that combines power monitoring with graceful shutdown of devices or live migration of virtual machines.
