December 27, 2012 – Eaton has designed the PVGard engineered monitoring system to help solar customers monitor and manage solar plant equipment, by alerting customers to underperforming panels, inverters and transformers, it says. With custom algorithms to track different inputs, the web-based system collects data from equipment including PV arrays, inverters, AC equipment and weather parameters. It also provides real-time data and alarm notification through text and email.
