Eaton Pow-R-Command panelboard claims 41% energy savings
March 19, 2014 By Alyssa Dalton

March 19, 2014 – Eaton says its new Pow-R-Command intelligent panelboard was engineered to help industrial and commercial facilities maximize energy performance.
By providing a range of lighting control, dimming and daylight harvesting capabilities, the new system claims to reduce heating, ventilation and air conditioning load requirements and lighting energy usage by up to 41%. To simplify scheduling and programming changes, a high-resolution colour touchscreen is located on the front panel of the device, providing a local means for system status data and override control. A compartment behind the display boasts safe access to low voltage communications and input/output connections without removing the panelboard trim or deadfront—a design which claims to increase safety by preventing service personnel from coming into contact with live components.
