Oct. 4, 2018 – Eaton has launched the LumenSafe integrated network security camera system to complement its outdoor LED fixtures for businesses, public facilities and municipal government departments.

Developed to extend facilities’ existing security networks outdoors, LumenSafe is designed for ease of installation on lighting poles by electrical contractors. The camera technology is currently available with Galleon and Navion LED luminaires.

“Outdoor camera systems can help make communities safer, but typical systems can require complicated solutions to provide a source of power, communication and mounting location,” says Brad Paine, vice-president (VP) and general manager (GM) of connected communities and homes for Eaton’s lighting division. “Lighting upgrades are a simple step to help improve safety, so we’ve developed the LumenSafe system to deliver lighting and security cameras in one package.”
