SEEKING: Quebec-based bilingual editor for L’industrie électriqueDate Posted: July 10, 2017 - Date Ends: December 31, 2017
January 27, 2017 - Are you a great French communicator with a little extra time on your hands? Would you mind some extra cash in your pocket? Is your English OK? Do you like dabbling in some web and social media?
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, L’industrie électrique—a product of Electrical Business Magazine (EBMag.com)—is seeking a new editor. This is an IDEAL contract for someone who wants to work predictable part-time hours from the comfort of their own home.
LE’s mission is to provide the electrical industry in Quebec a distinct, non-partisan forum—written in French by a Quebec-based editor—for sharing news about companies, events and people who are relevant in the province’s electrical industry, and articles that, hopefully, help make electrical professionals better at their work and businesses.
At its core, the Editor’s job involves:
• 2-3 weekly web updates at www.lindustrieelectrique.ca. The updates can be something you write yourself from scratch, or re-purposed Quebec-centric content from EBMag.com.
• Biweekly newsletters (easily assembled from content already posted online).
• Helping produce four (4) print issues of L’industrie électrique. This will involve writing/translating industry news, events and products (which are assembled from content already posted online), and a few feature articles are varying lengths, which are typically sourced for LE specifically (not just repurposed English content).
You would work with a dedicated team who is there to provide you with the tools and support you need to get the job done.
