ECAA calls for 2018 STARS gala support

September 7, 2018 | By Peter Saunders

September 7, 2018 – The Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA) is calling upon its members and the industry to help support this fall’s annual Building Magic in the Air Gala, which raises funds to help keep the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) air ambulance service running.

In partnership with Alberta’s construction industry, STARS will present the eighth annual gala on Oct. 20 at Edmonton’s Chateau Lacombe Hotel. Over the past seven years, the event has raised close to $1 million, a milestone that should be reached this year.

Members of the electrical industry can help by donating cash or gifts in kind, signing on as sponsors, buying tickets or tables (for up to 10 people) and/or donating items for silent and live auctions and raffles.

“I am excited to be part of the gala committee,” says Christine Hryniw, assistant registrar for ECAA’s marketing and Professional Electrical Contractor (PEC) program. “Our goal is to pack the room and make the night a huge success!”
