December 7, 2011 – Eclipsall, an Ontario maker of solar PV panels announced its photovoltaic modules have been selected for use in a project of 30 new microFIT systems in Kapuskasing, Ont. DBMS Energy Solutions of Kapuskasing, in cooperation with Strathcona Solar Initiatives of Napanee, Ont., are managing and building the project.

The total investment for the project exceeds $2 million. “The addition of solar energy to our power generation portfolio is an important step in strengthening and diversifying our local economy,” said Kapuskasing mayor, Al Spacek. “Our investments in renewable energy are creating new jobs and helping build a stronger community.”

Kapuskasing plans to use vacant properties for solar projects to deliver a new source of revenue to the municipality.
