Eclipsall signs supply agreement with Genesis Solar

October 26, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun

October 26, 2011 – Eclipsall Energy and Genesis Solar (Canada) announced a supply agreement under which Eclipsall will supply PV solar panels for up to 400 MW of solar projects. Genesis is executing its investments in solar projects in Ontario, starting with the initial investment of 55 MW of projects in 2012, followed by subsequent projects in its pipeline along with its international solar portfolio.

During the course of the agreement, Eclipsall will supply solar panels from its Toronto manufacturing facility. The company expects this new business will require them to expand manufacturing capacity from the current 64 MW to 128 MW in the first half of 2012 and, in all likelihood, further expand to 200 MW by the end of next year.

Longer term, of the total of 400 MW of solar projects the agreement represents, about half will be solar projects in Ontario. The other half will be projects located in Europe, the UK and the States.

Eclipsall will also be providing engineering, procurement and construction services (EPC) from their EPC division: Eclipsall Solar. As part of the agreement, the racking systems and inverters for the various projects will be supplied from Eclipsall’s alliance of manufacturing companies.
