June 22, 2018 — Last month, at Electro-Federation Canada (EFC)’s Annual General Meeting (which took place during its Annual Conference in Vancouver), Peter Horncastle, Graybar Canada, was appointed EFC chair.
Horncastle, Joris Myny, Siemens Canada, and EFC’s president and CEO, Carol McGlogan, reviewed the achievements of 2017 and shared forthcoming strategic initiatives. They also announced EFC’s new brand identity.

During the conference, the business program featured talks about sustainability and clean technology, trade and global affairs, intelligent buildings and smart homes, and the need for increased digitalization in the industry.
Finally, at the Awards Gala, the following members were recognized for their contributions to EFC and the industry:
• Corporate Engagement Award: Standard
• Industry Recognition Award: John Sencich, Thomas & Betts, a member of the ABB Group (retired)
• Trailblazer Award: Jason Prevost, Standard
• CEMRA Person of the Year Award: Peter Saccomanno, Lutron
