EFC appoints Gurvinder Chopra VP of standards and regulations

November 16, 2018 – Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) has hired Gurvinder Chopra as vice-president (VP) of standards and regulations. He succeeds Rob McIntyre, who is approaching retirement in the coming weeks.
Having taken on the role on Nov. 13, Chopra is now responsible for leading and managing all technical issues relating to EFC’s product sections, task groups and committees. He will review and provide feedback on the development of codes and standards that affect EFC members and other stakeholders.
Chopra joins EFC from CSA Group, where he served as director of global accounts, overseeing product certification and training for key clients. He also managed industrial and hazardous location operations.
