February 8, 2018 – On Feb. 1, Electro-Federation Canada’s (EFC’s) 11th annual Ontario Region Gala drew record attendance to the Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel. The event nearly sold out, with well over 300 electrical industry professionals and their guests, including EFC national members visiting from as far away as Nova Scotia.

The gala’s theme, Under the Big Top, was conveyed through jugglers, aerialists, hoop performers, carnival games and casino tables. There was also a four-course dinner and dancing. Outgoing regional chair Bill Eckersley received a recognition plaque from his successor, Zack Cvitak.

Sponsors for the event included the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO), Aztec Electrical Supply, Hubbell, Eaton, Ipex, Acuity Brands, Brady, Humelec Associates, Ideal Industries, Intermatic, Intralec, Mersen, Northwinds and Satco.

“There were many moving pieces leading up to this year’s gala, but in the end I was thrilled with the overall outcome, the valuable industry networking and the comradery between members,” says EFC event director Nathalie Lajoie.
