October 8, 2013 – At Electric Mobility Canada’s (EMC’s) upcoming EV2013 conference and tradeshow, the Standards Council of Canada will introduce Canada’s Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Safety for Emergency Responders Training Program, saying it is a critical component to supporting the acceleration of EV growth.

SCC’s presentation on October 22 will take place during the session “Standards and Training Needed to Accelerate EV Growth”. It will be given in tandem with the United States-based NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). The Canadian program will train police, fire and emergency personnel to safely respond to accidents involving electric and hybrid vehicles.
