Electrolab program encourages workers to speak up about unsafe behaviour

January 7, 2015 | By Anthony Capkun

January 7, 2015 – Available now from Electrolab (a player in workplace safety training) is a new employee safety program that deals specifically with encouraging employees to speak up when they see a co-worker engaged in unsafe behaviour so as to prevent injuries and fatalities.

In this telling of the safety poem “I Chose to Look the Other Way”, viewers will watch three storylines of common scenarios involving workers not speaking up about safety: failure to follow lockout/tagout (LOTO); an employee neglecting to wear PPE (personal protective equipment); and a worker choosing not to wear fall protection. Some of the other safety concerns addressed in the program include supervisors, rushing, habits, shift work and intimidation. This program is available in DVD and streaming media formats.
