February 1, 2013 – Employers can now apply for Canada Summer Jobs funding, which aims to create thousands of job opportunities for students across the country.

Funding will be available to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees. Young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students and intend to return to school next year qualify for these job opportunities.

Not-for-profit employers are eligible for up to 100% of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage and mandatory employment-related costs. Public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees are eligible for up to 50% of that amount.

Applications are available online at servicecanada.gc.ca/csj2013 and at Service Canada centres. Applications must be submitted between February 1 and February 28, 2013.
