Energy Storage Canada opens nominations for 2026 awards program

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Energy Storage Canada Awards, the fifth edition of Energy Storage Canada’s annual recognition program highlighting leadership, innovation, and impact from across the country’s energy storage sector.

Winners will be announced at the 11th Annual Energy Storage Canada Conference; taking place in Toronto from September 22 to 23 at Exhibition Place’s Automotive Building.

Nominations close on June 29 at midnight PDT and may be submitted by anyone currently active in the energy sector; with self-nominations accepted.

Energy Storage Canada encourages the nomination of anyone from across Canada’s energy storage value chain, including developers, generation, utility and system operators, regulators, policymakers, manufacturers, and service providers.

Organizations may be submitted across multiple categories, with projects or initiatives also able to be submitted up to two times across eligible categories. Categories include the Energy Storage Milestone Award, the Landmark Application of Energy Storage Award, the Grid Management Storage Award, and the Foundational Research in Energy Storage Award.
