Erico Caddy Rod Lock mounting system for threaded rod

October 9, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Erico’s Caddy Rod Lock provides a “quick and economical solution” for installing electrical and mechanical systems supported by threaded rod. The system includes the Caddy Rod Lock beam clamp and channel nut. The beam clamp works with slightly damaged threads and minor burrs on the threaded rod, has a load capacity up to 500 lb (3/8-in. rod, depending on flange thickness) and is UL 203 and 2239 approved. The channel nut also works with slightly damaged threads and minor burrs; it boasts a load capacity of up to 1200 lb (3/8-in.). With the patent-pending Rod Lock, you simply push the threaded rod through the mounting hole and it instantly locks into position.
