December 6, 2014 – Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) has appointed Nansy Hanna to the new role of director, engineering & program development. (You may recognize her from the back page of EBMag, where she is a Code File columnist.)
Nansy will lead a group geared toward advancing ESA’s harm reduction strategy through the introduction of “unique programs”. The group’s responsibilities include product safety, code development, improving harmonization with international standards, accountability for specific alternative compliance wiring programs, accountability for worker safety, and aging infrastructure programs.
Hanna joined ESA in 2009 and has spent the last five years as the engineering manager. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of CE Code-Part I, Sections 24, 32, 46, 50 and 64.
