Ethernet Alliance announces new internship program

November 10, 2008 | By Alyssa Dalton

The Ethernet Alliance has created a no-cost internship for the students of its Ethernet Alliance University Program (EAUP) that will connect current EAUP academic members with Ethernet Alliance corporate members. The student’s resumes are made available to corporate members on the EAUP’s online database, where they are scanned and selected based upon which students best match the corporation’s current internship opportunities.

“The
Ethernet Alliance internship program is a great opportunity for
university students to begin developing key relationships with industry
professionals, and for our corporate members to access the best and
brightest students from leading universities,” said Brad Booth,
alliance board chair and EAUP co-chair. “As someone who graduated from
a cooperative engineering program, I know that today’s university
students will have a direct influence on helping shape Ethernet
technologies in the years to come.”

The
internship program focuses on students looking to pursue a career in
engineering, and will help eager students start to network with
industry companies participating in the IEEE 802 Ethernet ecosystem.
