Ontario’s Electricity Distributors Association is hosting a virtual session June 17, 2021—from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm—for directors, corporate secretaries and staff with governance responsibilities.

The sessions will feature governance experts and thought leaders on best practices and strategies for improving board performance.

Some of the sessions and speakers include:

• “Corporate governance: trends and issues” with Dr. Richard Leblanc, York University.

• “Lessons learned during the pandemic & how boards will change and work in a post-Covid era” with Richard Wilson, PwC Cyber Security Practice; Ted Baker, CLEAResult; Dr. Giuseppina (Pina) D’Agostino, Alectra Utilities; Ingrid Holbik, Grant Thornton (moderator).

• “Affiliate relationships for utilities and the roles of the boards: beyond the arc” with Ron Clark, Aird & Berlis.

• “Streamlining board focus and processes” with John Dinner, John T. Dinner Board Governance.

“Summary of current issues and sponsor remarks” with Chris Benedetti, Sussex.

Fees: $149 + tax for members, $199 + tax for non-members.
