EUFMC Sets Its Sights On 2023
Planning underway for the 70th Anniversary conference
Fortunato Gulino of Consolidated Edison joins the EUFMC Board of Directors
Planning has begun for EUFMC 2023, to be held June 4-7 at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Virginia. The conference will mark the 70th anniversary of the event’s founding.
“The return of EUFMC to an in-person conference in 2022 was a great success for our attendees and sponsors,” said EUFMC President Dave Meisel, sr. vice president – fleet at Quanta Services, Inc. “In 2023, on the 70th anniversary of the first conference, we will be providing the same unparalleled level of educational value and networking that have been traditions of EUFMC since it was founded. There is no better way to celebrate EUFMC’s 70 years of success than by continuing to serve as the industry’s leading forum for fleet professionals and suppliers.”
Meisel also welcomed Fortunato Gulino, chief automotive engineer at Consolidated Edison, to the EUFMC Board of Directors. He noted how Gulino’s 25 years of fleet management experience at the company will be highly valuable for the conference.
“The invitation to join the EUFMC Board was a tremendous honour for me,” Gulino said. “The opportunity to repay the members and attendees, with my experience and knowledge, was a goal I envisioned since my first visit. This conference has proven to be a valuable resource for networking with other utilities as well as manufacturers. By providing insight, navigating challenges, and learning new methods, I can help guide us through the overall vision the conference was founded on.”
In 2023, the educational program at EUFMC — Driving Safety, Sustainability & Technical Expertise — will feature presentations by fleet executives, manufacturers and industry experts on current and highly important topics.
EUFMC signature events also include Roundtables where fleet representatives and suppliers exchange information and discuss mutual challenges, find solutions and develop best practices, a Drive-Through utility equipment demonstration, and an equipment show that is the site of more than 60 displays.
EUFMC in 2022 attracted a record number of attendees. On site were 157 representatives from fleets operating utility equipment, including 70 first-time attendees, and nine new companies sent fleet professionals to the conference. Also in attendance were 337 representatives from 87 manufacturers and providers of vehicles, equipment, products and services for utility fleet operations.
Our History provides a look back at EUFMC’s 70-year tradition of serving utility fleets.
