November 27, 2013 – Exfo says it is contributing to the effort to rebuild the Philippines’ telecom infrastructure, which was destroyed by Haiyan. In collaboration with its local distributor, Exfo is donating testing units to local operators Philippine Long Distance Telephone and Globe Telecom.

These testing units, which include Exfo’s OTDR (optical time domain reflectometer) and OSA (optical spectrum analyzer), will help the telecom companies detect and analyze network failures.

“On behalf of the whole Exfo team, our thoughts are with the people affected by this devastating event. We feel powerless, and we hope that our contribution will help as many people as possible,” said Germain Lamonde, Exfo’s chair, president and CEO.
