Extensive educational program at MEET 2014 in Moncton

February 17, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

February 17, 2014 – Taking place in Moncton, N.B., May 7-8, 2014—and with exhibit space nearly sold-out—the MEET Show (Mechanical Electrical Electronic Technology) will welcome more than 400 exhibitors from across Canada and the States, and EBMag is pleased to once again serve as the official electrical publication of this preeminent event in Atlantic Canada.

As the largest trade event east of Montreal and the nation’s second largest overall, organizers say MEET has proved itself one of the top industry events in Canada. The event presents the very latest equipment available to the mechanical and electrical industries. Event attendees include more than 6000 visitors comprising electrical and mechanical contractors, engineers, architects, municipal workers and more.

The 21st edition of this biennial event will feature an extensive education component presented by MEET’s four sponsoring associations, which include Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) and Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Each will present educational seminars relevant to the industries they represent, with topics such as:

• Canadian Electrical Code update (electrical inspector panel discussion)
• Building lighting control systems and the interface with building automation systems
• Integrated building design
