EYE Lighting unveils new luminaire design and assembly facility

July 24, 2012 – EYE Lighting International—a manufacturer of lamps, luminaires and related lighting products—opening a new 2000-sf luminaire design and assembly facility with manufacturing and assembly space, as well as design offices.

“Since LED technology is increasing in demand, our new facility will enhance our efforts to create more energy-efficient and better-quality LED products to meet the strict demands for high-performance LED luminaires,” said Tom Salpietra, president and COO of EYE Lighting.

The 1000-sf cell-manufacturing space is designed for assembling LED and HID luminaires, including the Kiaro LED family and Urban Act family of HID architectural floodlights. The manufacturing space is also a pressure-controlled clean room environment, with anti-static floors, designed specifically for LED storage and assembly. In addition, the space is equipped with fully digital, interactive assembly instructions and bill of materials on adjustable screens at each workstation.
