Federal Signal Corporation, a manufacturer in alert communications and mass notification systems, has launched EMComm (emcomm.federalsignal.com), a blog it says is specifically designed for the discussion and exchange of ideas across the “ever-broadening” field of emergency communications. It will cover topics ranging from developments in system integration and secure interoperable communications technology, emergency preparedness training and the advantages and limitations of citizen-notification systems such as cell phone alerts. The blog will also evaluate the latest technology developments in context with human behavior, cultural and generational differences, as well as breaking news case studies.
