Fiber-to-the-Home Fall 2011 tradeshow boasts strong attendance

September 28, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun

September 27, 2011 – With the theme “Lighting the Economy”, the 2011 Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Conference & Expo opened in Orlando, Fla., with delegates setting their sights on demonstrating the role “all-fiber networks will play in spurring economic recovery and business growth”.

Conference organizers say that, despite the lagging economy, attendance numbers will likely equal or exceed last year’s turnout; meantime, the exhibit hall has been sold out for weeks.

The conference attracts representatives from telecom companies and other broadband entities that provide FTTH services, which are now available to more than 20% of North American households, as well as from FTTH equipment manufacturers and engineering firms that build all-fiber networks.
