April 17, 2014 – Ottawa-based ING Robotic Aviation has selected FLIR (a global player in thermal imaging systems) to develop aircraft for aerial industrial IR inspections and visual gas leak detection.

ING cut its teeth through operational surveillance work with the Canadian military, and now offers commercial services. Robotic aircraft can offer a variety of aerial inspections solutions, explains ING, including that of electrical equipment and towers, buildings and roofing, solar panels and more.
