November 1, 2013 – FLIR Systems has unveiled the CM83 power clamp meter, designed specifically for technicians who need advanced power analysis capabilities, it says.

For power-related diagnostics, the CM83 features Harmonics Mode to find noise from different electrical sources; Phase Rotation to confirm phase orientation of three-phase systems; and Inrush Current to detect start-up related transients. The tool also has VFD mode for analyzing non-sinusoidal waveforms and noisy signals on VFD-controlled equipment. A built-in LED worklight illuminates dimly lit work areas.
