FLIR DM93 multimeter for VFD-related troubleshooting
October 7, 2013 | By Alyssa Dalton
October 7, 2013 – The new FLIR DM93 digital multimeter promises to help technicians obtain accurate readings on VFD-controlled equipment.
Using advanced VFD filtering and shielding, the FLIR DM93 claims to analyze non-sinusoidal waveforms and noisy signals often associated with VFD motors and drive controllers, and the built-in LoZ Mode (Low Impedance Input) filter eliminates ghost voltage readings often encountered in long-run applications. Bluetooth connectivity to Android devices running the FLIR Tools Mobile app enables users to view readings remotely, share findings with people on or off the job site, and create reports. For added safety, the built-in LED worklight illuminates dimly lit work areas.
