February 8, 2019 – Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) Systems has launched six large-format inspection windows to enable wider viewing angles for electrical contractors working in challenging industrial settings.

The 6-in., 12-in. and 24-in. wide windows are designed with impact-resistant polymer optics for long-term use in harsh environments where enclosed electrical equipment needs to be inspected without disruptions. Compared to traditional round infrared (IR) windows, they promise up to six times the viewing area.

All three sizes are available in models for indoor installations with aluminum grilles and for outdoor and marine applications with stainless steel grilles and weatherized enclosures. Their covers lock to secure the viewing panes from debris, dust and airborne pollutants.
