June 19, 2018 — According to Fluke, its new 1740 Series Power Quality Loggers simplify the collecting and reporting of critical utility power quality trends.

The loggers are used for studying and monitoring utility power quality and demand to industry standards. IEC 61000-4-30 compliant, the loggers are capable of simultaneously logging over 500 parameters for each averaging period. This allows technicians to analyze power quality in detail and correlate intermittent events with waveform data to identify the root cause of disturbances.

Setup can be done using the included software, which also automates analyzing and reporting the data. The software is able to download, analyze and report every measured detail of energy consumption and power quality state-of-health with automated reporting, and one-touch reporting creates standardized reports using common standards such as EN 50160 or IEEE 519. Rated 600V Cat IV/1000V Cat III for use at the service entrance and downstream, the loggers also offer advanced analysis to create a customized view of logged measurements for advanced correlation of data.
