Fluke boasts market’s only automated PMU calibration system
January 27, 2014 | By Alyssa Dalton
January 27, 2014 – Fluke Calibration says it has developed the only automated and traceable PMU calibration system currently available in the market—the 6135A/PMUCAL phasor measurement unit calibration system.
According to the company, the integrated system of six components can complete 600 tests to certify a PMU configuration meets the latest performance standards of the IEEE Standard for Synchrophasor Measurements for Power Systems (IEEE C37.118.1:2011 and IEEE C37.242). The system, which is mounted in a 19-in. rack with an integrated test connection panel, includes a server PC, GPS receiver, system timing unit, and three-phase 6135A Electrical Power Standard. System accuracy yields a test accuracy ratio of 10:1 against the 118.1 PMU specifications, adds Fluke.
