According to its Instructor and School Newsletter (February 2008), the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) is raising its certification costs.

“To
support our current programs and more ambitious project plans, for the
first time in ten years we will increase the certification fee for the
schools,” the newsletter reads, adding, “But don’t panic! We’re only
increasing it from $25 to $30 effective March 1…”

There will be no changes in membership or certification renewal fees this year.
