August 28, 2018 — Focal Point, which manufactures architectural lighting in Chicago, Ill., has updated its website with a new ‘contractor zone,’ offering job-site conveniences to help electrical contractors in Canada and the U.S. save time and money.

The zone’s features include simplified labelling, bulk packaging, installation videos hosted by the company’s YouTube channel and a specification-grade contractor luminaire package, which allows lighting to be selected for a complete commercial space and shipped to the job site.

These features are supported by members of Focal Point’s field service team (examples pictured), who have backgrounds as electricians or in luminaire manufacturing.

“The contractors we have heard from enjoy the online conveniences, but our field service team is their greatest resource,” says Rich Shilkaitis, director of customer service. “They have the expertise to achieve the right outcome for any commercial project in the U.S. or Canada.”
